Defkalion Rossi Divorce

August 7, 2011

This is extremely disturbing.

A recent rumour has been doing the rounds implying that the agreement between Andrea Rossi and Defkalion has been terminated. This has now been confirmed by AR on his blog. On it’s own, this is a bomb that should shake anyone’s confidence in the façade that has been built around the eCat. Absent proof, much has been made of circumstantial evidence (here and elsewhere). An important part of that evidence centred on Defkalion’s involvement and the comments they made on their forum.

When live, the forum was a key source of (what should have been) quality information. From it, we were told that Defkalion has tested the eCat many times, always achieving a gain of 19 or more. As we can see below, either they were lying or the press release on AR’s blog is giving incorrect information. Either way, this looks bad:

Dear Andrea Rossi,
There is a rumor that Defkalion is not working with you anymore. Is it true?
Best,
Marcia.

PRESS RELEASE :
Bologna-Rome (Italy) August 4th 2011
EFA- Energia da Fonti Alternative srl, the Italian Company through which the rights for the production of Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat were granted to Praxen Defkalion Green Technologies LTD, publicly announces that the License and Technology Transfer Agreement between the two companies has been recently terminated. All business relationships with Praxen , the Cyprus based company that owns the Greek company Defkalion Green Technologies S.A., have been cancelled and asof today neither Praxen nor Defkalion, nor any other Greek company whatsoever holds any rights for the production of the E-Cat or for any other exploitation of Andrea Rossi’s technology.
Furthermore Andrea Rossi and EFA announce that no information, nor industrial secret, nor any technology whatsoever has been neither transferred, nor disclosed, neither to Praxen, nor to Defkalion, nor to any other Greek company whatsoever and currently Andrea Rossi and EFA are not planning to deal with any other project in Greece.
Not one single test, of the many demonstrations of the E-Cat technology held around the world, has ever been done in Greeceand no E-Cat has ever been brought, produced, or assembled in the territory of the Ellenic Republic: so not only the technology is still fully owned by Andrea Rossi’s company, Leonardo Corporation, but it still remains a well preserved industrial secret.
Any declaration or public announcement of third parties claiming possession of rights on the E-Cat technology and/or indide knowledge of said technology, as well as any statement of third parties in conflict with the above facts shall be considered a fake and treated as misleading information.
Andrea Rossi is the inventor of the “Method and Apparatus for carrying out Nickel and Hydrogen Exothermal reactions” (known to the general public as E-Cat) for which international patent demand no. WO2009/125444 is pending and Italian Patent office has already been issued on April 6th, 2011 the final patent no. 0001387256.
EFA Energia da Fonti Alternative s.r.l. is incorporated in Italy.
Leonardo Corporation is incorporated in New Hampshire, USA.

I think this development means Defkalion determined Rossi’s Ecat didn’t produce commercial energy. The only other explanation is they somehow reverse engineered the product and were ready to cut Rossi out. The next statement from Defkalion should tell the tale on this saga.

        August 7, 2011 at 6:40 pm

No. The most likely explanation is that it’s all a scam and that Rossi and Defkalion are both participants, now trying to put the blame on the other party.

There has never been the slightest credible evidence from either party that the E-cat works as advertised. And yes, all the scientists and engineers who reviewed Rossi’s claims and (cautiously) endorsed them are also to some degree to blame for their overoptimism. They should have done their own tests entirely with their own instruments and they should have done them the correct way by calorimetry instead of accepting Rossi’s steampunk dog and pony show as fact.

Sorry, but convoluted frauds involving lots of parties is the least likely. So are 3 groups of science observers too stupid to recognize an obvious fraud. Also, there are enough other NiH results which suggest a LENR reaction. Of course you may be a student of that idiot Robert Park in which case you have my sympathies.

Do not worry, everything would be fine.

DANIELE PASSERINI IN HIS BLOG ( http://22passi.blogspot.com/ ) WROTE:

Rossi just told me that he signed (I think in July) a contract with one of the highest level U.S. businesses, whose name will be revealed during the test of the 1 MW plant in October, which will now be in the US, not Greece. The test will be presided over by “top-level scientists” such as of Kullander, Essen, Levi and – this has been confirmed – the Nobel prize Josephson. Rossi also specifies that the test will be performed by one of the most important “entities” in the U.S. and the world.

The blog of Passerini is about poetry and only was interested in the e-cat because he is a close friend of Levi.

In Italy the blog is “work safe”. Thank to God we don’t have, until now, the pathological laws about sex that exist in the US. We are a bit more tolerant.

The one you note is about “loving woman’s sea”.

Let’s wait for a comment by prof Stremmenos, now I see 3 possibilities:
    1) Stremmenos dumps Rossi and admits they were duped
    2) Stremmenos keeps endorsing Rossi but says that for some unspecified reason the anonymous investors have backed down or were fraudulent
    3) Stremmenos keeps endorsing Rossi and resign from Defkalion because the investors had the E-Cat reverse engineered, they want to rip off Rossi and produce it on their own.

Passerini just wrote in his blog: “The most likely thing is that the Defkalion played the smart ones. In my opinion, they have realized that the European patent of Rossi will not arrive in a short time … Thus, as they already have Rossi’s technology (I don’t understand why the EFA said the opposite as there is too much evidence that the Greeks are much ahead with the development of reactors as implemented by them) why do they need Rossi again? Does the Italian patent protect anything of Rossi? No. So they fooled Rossi. I hope Stremmenos will soon speak. Rossi told me that Stremmenos agreed with him”

    was inside.

Defkalion has always written in their blog on their own web site that they had tested the E-cat/Hyperion using their own instruments in an entirely liquid cooled circuit using a glycol coolant. They also said they guaranteed a 6X energy boost by the device but always had realized at least 18X.

So either the device is real, a very unlikely possibility at the moment, or they were lying all the time about their tests. Probably they also lied when they (Defkalion) said they gave the Greek government working devices to test for performance and safety.

And finally, Krivit wrote that he contacted people he knows at the U of Bologna and that there is no device and no research going on there because although the contract has been signed with Rossi, starting the work requires funds and Rossi has never given them any at all.

“Probably they also lied when they (Defkalion) said they gave the Greek government working devices to test for performance and safety.”
I find this very hard to believe since a representative of the energy ministry was present at the Defkalion press conference in June.
We should wait for a press release by Defkalion.

The Greeks could have done everything they claimed, and have the technology. What they don’t have after today is clear title to use the patents, etc. Or the Greeks could have lied about everything. In any case, they might go forward. If its real, which is a big if, then silly things like patents, etc would not get in the way. For instance, it might make financial sense for Greece as a country to stop honouring patent law in their country, (or create a paperwork roadblock) for the $$$$.

    Dear Georgehants:
Prof. Stremmenos has tested our E-Cats many times in Bologna and has made a very good work; I do not know what has been done in Greece from Deflalion with the documents made by Prof. Stremmenos; also other officers of defkalion made tests in Bologna, for this purpose.
The work has been good, as well as has been good the work that Defkalion made to get authorizations, I suppose, even if it has never been my business; the problems which caused the cancellation of the contract are just financial.
By the way, the report of the last test made by the Greek Scientist Christos Stremmenos has been published, the work has been very good, and my personal relationship with Prof. Stremmenos is good. We hope in future to make again a good work in Greece.
When a verdict will be issued regarding the suit in course between Defkalion and us will be published all will be clear. Now I prefer not to enter in particulars, but, again, the issue is just financial, not personal, nor technological, nor scientific.
    Warm Regards,

**** The decision to terminate the relationship with Defkalion (Greece) purely finance-related, according to Rossi.

Really? So how do they prevent Rossi’s plan to release the information if he’s suppressed? He went on at length about that on his blog. He has all sort of “fail safe” positions, secret documents to be publicly released, and all that.

Sam, I have a sinking suspicion you are right about that. Rossi says he would never do that (take money and shelve the idea) but every man has his price. I kind of hope that the Defkalion has somehow reverse engineered the technology, so as to ensure the technology makes it to market one way or the other. If Defkalion has not pirated the technology, perhaps they will partner with Piantelli’s group to make a go of it.

First comment from Defkalion on NyTeknik: “We believe we have a project. We continue the project. We still have a lot of trust in Mr Rossi. We believe in the technology. But as you understand we are receiving a lot of pressure, also Rossi is receiving a lot of pressure internationally. And we believe that Rossi is more vulnerable than us to pressure. This will be fixed I believe”
Do you remember when Xauntholis announced a demo of a 35kw hyperion at the end of september? And Rossi denied it? Well, the picture is clear: Defkalion has stolen the technology and perfcted it, now they dump Rossi and go ahead on their own. It is a bad news for Rossi but for us it is another good sign that the E-Cat really works. Defkalion will arrive on the market first, Rossi will come second and Piantelli will join the patent battle later.

To Renzo, thanks for the reference to the Nyteknik article. I don’t know if Defkalion has stolen the secret as you suggest but that’s just the kind of behavior I would expect around a discovery of inestimable value. I would add that the largest economy with the largest military that ever existed would not just sit idly by and let the Greeks gain a technological advantage. If real, its likely the Americans will have it first. Maybe that is where Rossi is receiving his “pressure”.

The most unbelievable part of this whole show has been the notion that such a world changing technology could just be put into production in a small factory without any real difficulty or opposition from the encumbent power brokers. They would recognize its significance and seek to control it. Ironically I think this latest obfuscation actually makes the story less unbelievable.

Seems this guy’s just having his face ground on the wheel through directed bureaucratic sloth, until he gives up or runs out of money. Read on down that thread for more. Couple more. The state is not your friend.

Maryyugo, if you believe governments won’t go after this thing, if it turns out to be the deal, either through taxation or outright at-gun-point nationalisation, why, you aren’t smart enough to be let out-of-doors on your own.

Oh, and any word of that Krivit quote, over on that other thread? It’s a pretty good giggle, reading your hardarse “cite or STFU” act, as long as that’s still outstanding.

To maryyoga. I think there are ways to take something without stealing it. They could change the laws, eminent domain, offer him a deal he couldn’t refuse, make him disappear and appropriate his estate, “miraculously” find someone else with a similar technology…Also I don’t think the E-Cat has received a patent anywhere but Italy, the country that threw him in jail.

However I see that from your point of view, they couldn’t possibly steal something that doesn’t exist. And yikes! (STFU?) that’s a little harsh. Maybe you should go back on your meds and try to relax! Breathe in your nose and out your mouth. Inhale…”calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean”….exhale….”calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean”….
